Alexandria

We had a WONDERFUL trip to Alexandria, MN. The Loosbrock family was so gracious and we enjoyed every minute of our time together at their cabin. We were also blessed to spend some quality time with the rest of Tim's family. Needless to say, Julia and Jocelyn had a great time with their cousins, playing in the sand, and just enjoying the outdoors.

future jackrabbits

We took a road trip to Brookings to visit South Dakota State University. It was quite nostalgic to be back on our college grounds. What a wonderful feeling to be where we met, only now we were there with our two daughters.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy 31st Birthday to Daddy!
A birthday card Tim received read--"Today, may your little part of the world be perfect...and isn't it always." I think that pretty much sums it up. Tim: you're a wonderful husband and an amazing father...happy birthday to you.

Palm Beach

We spent day one of Tim's birthday weekend celebration at Palm Beach in Moody Gardens. The girls really enjoyed playing with the waterfalls, watching the seagulls, and going down the water slides (on our laps, of course). As you can see in the pictures, Julia also liked to eat the sand. Jocelyn had fun knocking down the sand castles and playing with the other sand toys. This was the first time they were really "into" the sand. As always they were captivated by the other kids and showed off their smiles.

Children's Museum

We made a little venture to The Children's Museum downtown Houston. We started the evening at the Taco Shop; the girls are truly Texans and enjoyed their burritos. We thought it would be a GREAT IDEA to go to the Free Family night at the museum. Oh my, I have had better ideas! We waited in line for 30+ minutes in the 97 degree sunshine. The girls cheeks were red, their hair was sweaty, and Jocelyn actually had sweat beads on her nose. All of this in the name of fun! Turned out, they LOVED the museum so it was all worth it...just more memorable. Jocelyn really enjoyed the car. She sat in it over and over again and honked the horn over and over and over again. She made a lot of passenger friends. Julia loved everything, nothing seems to intimidate her. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

Kemah

We enjoyed the morning eating breakfast tacos, going to the local market and then walking around Kemah. The girls walked on the "spraying water star" and were surprisingly quite cautious. As you can see in the picture they were watching every step...pretty cute.

fun in the sun

The girls are starting to love their "floaties." They can touch the bottom of the baby pool and walk around. They think they're pretty cool being independent! But, Tim learned the hard way, that we still have to stay close...let's just say Julia got a little wet. ;)
