Julia wasn't in the camera kind of mood; luckily Jocelyn was all smiles...

COW!!!

Wacky Wednesdays at Chic-Fil-A = good times. That is, unless the COW shows up. We hardly made it in the door before the girls start melting, crying, shrieking with terror as they see the COW inside. So, we darted to the playplace to warm up a little. Oh no, we didn't hardly play...we just look out the window for the COW. Other mother's were trying to convince them about the nice COW. Finally, the COW goes in the back, so we go to order. Are you kidding me, the COW comes walking out (like 2 feet away from us) just as they hand me the tray of food. One would think it was Freddy Krueger. The fellow customers around us looked on as the girls were once more terrified (many saying..."so cute." Really?). We get to the booth in the back of the room, facing the wall, and all the girls do is turn around at look and talk about the COW. The woman sitting beside us, who has 12 year old twins, decides it's time to tell me it will get easier. COW! COW! COW! That's all we talked about the rest of the day. Eventually, we made a mad dash to the door and escaped that ferocious COW. I'm pretty sure the girls will laugh about this someday. All I have to say is thank goodness for chocolate milk and free ice cream.

Neighbor Nicholas

The girls have enjoyed playing with their neighbor Nicholas. They are within a week of age, yet the girls are bigger than him. ;) He has a new puppy Golden Retriever, so they enjoyed showing him their stuffed puppies as well as Belle.

I think he's winking at me. ;)

I had to include this picture. Nicholas was wearing socks, so Jocelyn had to go put her socks on as well. Cute.

Happy 4th Birthday Owen & Kyle

We had a blast celebrating at AcroSports yesterday. There were so many fun things to do--foam pit, jump house, trampolines, parachutes. The girls surprised us and even went on the rope swing into the foam pit. Julia never stopped moving or running or jumping...not even for a picture. Jocelyn took a few minutes to get in the mood, but when she did you couldn't stop her. They giggled and crashed on the trampoline together. A wonderful day for two wonderful boys...Happy Birthday!

"no nap, mommy"

The little ones are convinced they don't need to nap anymore. They just tell me "no nap, mommy" and laugh at me when I come in their room and tell them to go to sleep. They put on little "shows" for each other, play with their babies, read books, acrobats...anything but sleep. But, these two REALLY NEED their naps. So, this day they fell asleep in the recliner at 5:30pm and slept for 1 1/2 hours. Yes, Julia is wearing her "dress up" dress. Adorable.

my little texas torpedoes

The first night on the Slip and Slide. I can't think of a better way to spend a Monday night. Julia was really into it. She would even run and try to slide. She kept saying "Torpedo!" with me.

Considering how much these two dislike water in their face they did amazing. Jocelyn was a little more tame, but I would still say she had a blast.

Tim really is the best Dad in the whole wide world. I just love it when he forgets how old he is and just has fun. ;)

pretty little ladies

A few highlights of the week:
My girls, the ones who aren't interested in movies or TV LOVE Shark week. More shark! More Shark!
They're starting to enjoy the water more and more...especially Julia and her floaties.
Turns out Jocelyn is a much happier kid when we increase her sugar consumption.
They love to wear their pj's--even in the middle of the day. My laundry keeps piling higher.
Julia is developing her 'evil princess' streak. But, of course, they're both as cute as can be.

sun visors

The girls made some snazzy sun visors at school last week. They look pretty cute walking to the mailbox. ;)
