art festival

I convinced these three to join me at the Art Festival Sunday. I loved it...and I'm sure Tim did too. :)

The kid's crafts were amazing: decorating art cars, painting rocks, tissue flowers, beading necklaces and bracelets. Loved it. I REALLY wanted to do the wax hand mold, but I think the girls were convinced that it would take their hand off.

Fine, I'll admit it. Their actual favorite part was the shuttle bus. ;)

The day was complete with a stop at Wabash to see the bunnies, hens and roosters, and even a few puppies. I think I almost convinced Tim to buy a bunny...almost. Next time.

bluebonnets & 3 yr stats

The girls looked so cute we decided it would be a good day for our annual bluebonnet picture. We were not disappointed, especially since we brought along the baby dolls and took their pictures too. Unfortunately, the fun ended when Jocelyn stepped in some fire ants. Poor kid had at least a hundred on her foot and over 25 bites. Thankfully, they're making her a little less crazy today. I was relieved we had their three year check up an hour after the incident.

My sweet Julia weighed in at 36lbs 8oz which put her in the 89th percentile. She's 40in tall which places her in the 95th percentile. They were both very brave and cooperative for their exam.

Silly Jocelyn weighed in at 33lbs 2oz which put her in the 70th percentile. She's 39 1/4in which places her in the 89th percentile. When asked who wanted their shot first they both volunteered each other...quite adamantly. Sisterly love.

little helpers

I know it's only March, but it's 80+ degrees outside!
It seemed like a good day to wash the pollen off the car and the girls were super EXCITED to get on their swimsuits. They ended up chasing each other around the yard with the water hose and actually enjoyed getting quite wet.

bouncing & boots

Julia's excited about her new helmet. She's also showing off her new squeaky monkey horn. She LOVES it. Jocelyn wouldn't touch a helmet...wouldn't try one on...wouldn't let me put one in the shopping cart. Although she probably won't admit it, she tried Julia's on last night and I think she kind of liked it. ;)

Scooters and hopper balls...two wonderful reasons for helmets.

Of course, the babies needed to hop too.
Notice the hair do's? That's how weekend mornings look with Dad.

Jocelyn likes my new boots...future fashionista in the making.

Giddy Up

Sunny and 75 degrees.
The Rodeo was calling our name. Apparently, it was also calling 8,000 students to take a field trip as well.

Fried pickles. It was lunch time, so I figured pickles were better than Oreos or Twinkies. Honestly, the girls weren't crazy about them...needless to say my stomach still hurts. It sounded like such a good idea at the time.

Frozen lemonade to wash down the pickles. It ranked right up near the bunny rabbits and baby chicks.

The girls were quite the spectacle with their cowgirl outfits. They still get my vote as the cutest cowgirls in Texas.
