movie with daddy
The girls enjoyed an animal movie with their dad while I was at work. Usually, they have zero interest in the TV, but I guess it's just more appealing with dad commentating. They kept pointing and Jocelyn even went up to the TV to try to touch the frog. Pretty cute...I was just so amazed to see them looking so calm in these pictures.

palm trees and hammocks
We like to pretend that we're on a tropical island...I think Belle (our dog) actually believes it sometimes. We lie in the hammock and listen to the palms blow in the wind while sipping on a mojito (yes, we grow limes and mint in our yard as well). Enjoy each day; I hope our girls grow up with that kind of spirit and appreciation for life. Reality often sets in when the neighbor's lawn mower starts, or the girls next door start jumping on their trampoline, or the fire truck goes racing by...but hey, those are just details. The palm tree picture makes us smile because we FINALLY got them trimmed and they are just ridiculously tall for our backyard. Oh well, live and learn.

yee haw
I never stop laughing.
Julia has decided to push Jocelyn around on their horse. Julia puts her head down and pushes with all of her might. Jocelyn gets really excited and just loves every minute of her sister's attention. This is quite an improvement from last week when Julia tried to find everything possible to hit Jocelyn in the head with...the remote, a drumstick, even a baby doll. Jocelyn finally had enough when Julia put her dress over her head...Jocelyn then proceeded to bite her. But, when they both say "mama" and give me a group hug all my stress just seems to melt away. This is the good stuff.

life's a bowl of cherries
"A child can always teach an adult three things:
to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something, and to know how to demand with all her might that which she desires."

sunshine and easter eggs
Grandpa Gregg and Grandma Diana came for a visit and we had such a wonderful time together. The days were full of play and laughter. The Easter egg hunt was especially humorous as they surprised us with their participation. Grandma Diana and Julia had a lot of fun throwing sea shells in the water at the beach. And, of course, the zoo and Kemah are always good days. We attempted the annual Texas Blue Bonnets picture, but the girls were so obviously not in the mood. Hopefully, we'll have some good pictures to share later this week. Thank you for such an amazing visit; we really appreciate our time together.
