splash park

We went to a splash park yesterday and the girls had a fabulous time! In the second picture Julia was suddenly surprised when the water kicked on and got her right in the face; she was a little more timid after that. But, overall, they really enjoyed getting wet. They always enjoy watching other children. Jocelyn had a little boy, with a great big smile, who kept following her around. I can't think of a better way to enjoy a hot afternoon....smiles, splashing, and sunshine.

photofunia

I was rebelling against all things domestic yesterday and had some fun on photofunia.com. Pretty cool.

future van goghs

The girls are finally showing some interest in crayons...but, of course, are most interested in trying to eat them. They try to eat everything...

15 months & fabulous

The girls had their 15 month check up and they're doing fabulous. Julia is 31 1/2 inches tall and weighs 23 lbs 6.5 oz. The doctor thinks she'll be 5'8". Jocelyn is 32 1/4 inches tall and weighs 22 llbs 8 oz. Dr. Quillin thinks she'll be 5'10". Only time will tell. It's been a great 15 months and we are so thankful for our HEALTHY babies.

our daddy's shoes

I obviously had a really, really good time with my camera today. These girls just make me smile. I honestly didn't "stage" any of these pictures. I did help them get BOTH feet into their dad's shoes for fear they make break an ankle. The just carried Tim's shoes around and kept saying 'dada.' His shoes are as big as they are; needless to say they think of him while he's away.

little girls

15 month photoshoot:
You see, these pictures are just too good for a slideshow. I felt they deserved their own "space," which is why I have three blog posts in one night. I'm having some trouble narrowing things down...I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

walking away

It's "OFFICIAL"--Jocelyn can walk. I'm actually a few days late on this one. She has been capable and doing it for quite some time, but she's finally walking consistently. Last night, Tim was "chasing" the girls. Jocelyn was so cute...she wanted Tim to chase her and she took off and looked like a little Forrest Gump. Knees kind of locked, pretty slow, laughing and determined. Julia can now sprint and do a little side leg kick. They can both spin/twirl and they love each other more every day...see slide show below. :)

Let me see your belly button

This has become a very popular and amusing game at our house. They try to find each other's belly buttons, stand on their heads looking for their belly button, and of course find mom and dad's belly buttons (pictures soon to come...yup, right by the romper pictures I'm sure). They think it's really funny when my belly "talks" to them, does dances and makes noises. Anatomy has been quite the topic lately. They also know where their eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands, and toes are. Pretty impressive, I know...we're really hoping for college scholarships. :)

always stop to smell the roses...

Julia wasn't too sure about the rose. Actually, she threw it on the ground and wanted nothing more to do with it. Jocelyn absolutely loved it. She smiled, smelled it, touched it and posed for about twenty more pictures. Wouldn't it be amazing to be one year old and study a rose for the first time? Amazing...
